The other day the Winter Olympics lost its Christina Aguilera of athletes. Michelle Kwan had to bow out with a groin injury. (Source of injury still unknown, but I have to say, I had a good time.)

Anyway, the only accomplishment Kwan has not gathered is Olympic Gold. 9 World Championships, who knows how many US Championships, and the strength to resist getting paid lots of money to join the TJ Maxx Stars on Ice tour. This is a stellar career by anyone's standards.

In keeping with the tradition of getting craptacular commentators, NBC had the audacity to compare Kwan to Dan Marino. DAN MARINO!!!!!!! There comparison was based on the fact that both were great athletes that will always been remembered for not winning the big game. Dan Marino made the Super Bowl once....ONCE!!!!! And he lost. Kwan has made the Olympics 4 times and come away with a medal each time, plus the 9 World and US titles. How dare NBC kick dirt in the face of Michelle Kwan by comparing her to Dan Marino. DAN MARINO!!!!!!!! Maybe if Dan Marino made the Super Bowl 4 times and lost I could understand. Awful.
