Jesus might be pissed....

As many of you know, CleggThis has never been known to walk the straight and narrow, and the good folks at CleggThis (me) would never hold back on hard hitting, relevant social commentary in order to save face. As a good man once said, people today spend to much effort trying not to offend instead fo truly being. That being said, the following CleggThis article will most likely offend and upset many people.
Right now there is a conflict going on in the Middle East, and no it does not involve the United States or Iraq. It involves the US sanctioned and supported Israel and Lebanon. If you haven't heard about this, then I hope that rock you were under didn't crush your balls. The conflict started 8 days ago with some Israeli troops being held by Lebanon insurgents. Now in an act similar to that guy who needs anger management classes, Israel decided to, as P Diddy says, drop bombs. And it should be noted that there are many American civilians currently in Lebanon. Over 300 people have died in Lebanon, as opposed to the 28 in Israel.
Here is where people may start sharpening their axes for the head hunt coming my way. To downplay this reaction, CleggThis asks you to rethink what you already believe. View Isael as a COUNTRY, not a religion. The popular public rheotoric of Israel is that of a religous haven for the Jewish community of the world. Yes, this is true, but at its rawest form Israel is a COUNTRY. There are many contries in the world. Some other countries include Japan, North Korea, Denmark, and yes, even Cananda. So lets view Israel as a country and not a religion, and in doing so accept that a country has faults and political agendas (well, maybe not Cananda, they just have hockey.)
Israel is, in hindsight, the baby brother of the United States. We feed them lots of support, be it both political and financial. One could even view Israel as the United States of the Middle East, since the United States has NEVER opposed Israel in anything they do. And, I fear, the United States will continue to do so. The reason I fear is that the bombs Israel are dropping (albeit, not as Phat as P Diddy's bombs) are falling in and around American citizens in Lebanon. Our military is evacuating those people as we speak. Now, take a step back....actually take 3 or 4, since this notion may come as a shock to you.
If another country was dropping bombs on our citizens, what would we call them. Take your time, I understand how hard this may be. Yes, you are right. They are terrorists. Wait???!!!!! Does that mean Israel are terrorists? Well, in a way, yes. They are killing innocent people. Isn't that the definition of a terrorist?
I know, that is a tough pill to swallow. But remember, this is not a critique on the Jewish community. This is a critique on Israel. Remember we made that distiction a couple of paragraphs ago. Israel needs to reel it in a little and stop getting so pissed off. Never mind all the crap they got going with the Palestinians, yet another conflict where America believes the Israeli's are the good and the Palestinians the bad.
Awful.
p.s. This post should draw a LOT of comments, and I look forward to reading them all.

Israel needs to get thier bad ass comandos in to Lebanon and take over that country. Then they can destroy all of Hezbollah and provide land and other social programs for the disenchanted Lebanese (non-Hez). Then they can hand over a big chunk of rich oil grounds (maybe even water-front) to the Palestinians in exchange for permanent cease fire and peace.
The US will foot the bill for the rebuilding and social programs for the Lebanese. This will solve the majority of our Middle East issues.
Then we just need to nuke Iran and Syria.
